As if Mondays aren’t challenging enough! This morning I'm taking paper piecing from the 250-piece puzzle straight to the 2,000-piece version. This one is definitely for the patient and maybe slightly crazy - crafter who loves a challenge. There are a LOT of little pieces in this design, but that’s exactly what makes the finished card so gorgeous. I love how the paper piecing almost becomes part of the artwork itself, especially as it moves across the image. It adds texture, dimension and that wonderful “Wait…how did you do that?” factor that I’m always looking for. Is it quick? Absolutely not. Is it worth it? Absolutely. Sometimes you have to push yourself past the easy techniques and see what you can create. And really…if we wanted everything finished in ten minutes, we probably picked the wrong hobby!
