Terrarium
About this Project
I placed most of the stamps in my Misti and inked them up with Cloud 9 Black Ink, stamping them on white Hammermill Cardstock Premium Color Copy 100lb (it's the package with a chameleon) I colored the images with a variety of Copic Markers, I have listed them below. I then die cut the colored images with the coordinating metal cutting dies. The red mushrooms were colored with Copic Markerts and topped off with a red Gelly Roll Glaze pen. This gives them some fun shine. I used the Spellbinders Essential Arches to cut six frames from black cardstock. I also cut one frame from a sheet of fun foam. I created two frame stacks, the 1st one I glued 4 paper frames and the fun foam together, the 2nd stack I glued the remaining 2 frames together. I used one of the center cutouts to attach my colored images to I fan folded a piece of cardstock (three mountains and two valleys), the width equals the width of the arch frame, the length being 1.5 inches, scored at .25 inches. Center the fan fold at the bottom of the of the black center cutout. Glue the back of the last mountain fold to the center cutout from the arches. Take the first set of frames, the one with four paper frames and the fun foam frame. Cut off .25 of an inch from the bottom so that it sits just above the fan fold piece, yet the tops line up. This is the point when I realized that my fan fold was going to show once I put the top frames on. So, I tore some strips of brown paper to lend to the idea of a layer of dirt. Arrange the colored die cuts using the fronts and backs of the mountain folds to create the depth in the scene. Once you are happy with the layout glue them in place. Top with the other stack of frames. I embossed the Kraft color cardstock with the Spellbinders E3D-031 folder. I also stamped the smaller sentiment on Kraft paper. The larger Hey Girl sentiment is from the Big Time Kindness stamp and die set from Honey Bee Stamps. I stamped the sentiment in Distress Ink Gathered Twigs to try and match the kraft paper. I attached the embossed Kraft paper and "terrarium" die cuts to a 5 x 7 white card base. I used the following Copic Markers to color the image: BG93 E51 E71 E42 E55 E49 E74 E79 E47 YG07 YG91 YG11 YG05 YG97 YG93 W2 W6 W4 R24 R27 R89 G94 G29 G05 G09 G19 G85 R24 R27
