Techniques: The background was created by brayering a thin layer of blue acrylic paint on a gell plate. As the paint dried and became tacky, I stuck a stencil down on top of it. I placed a sheet of white printer paper on top of the stencil. Using my fingers I tried to press the paper down into each of the openings on the stencil to pick up the paint. After pressing the paper through the stencil I removed the paper and the stencil. I let the blue paint dry completely. I then put a layer of white acrylic paint over the top of the blue paint that was remaining on the gell plate. Using a brayer I smoothed the white paint out and removed any excess. While the paint was still wet I placed another sheet of white copy paper over the paint layer. I let this dry completely. Once dry I carefully peeled the paper and paint off the gell plate. I stamped the Sweet Harvest apples with Memento Tuxedo Black. Using coordinating coloring stencils I applied thin layers of color until I built the color to my liking, I use white gel pen to trace the artist drawn hightlights. I wish I had not done that, so I ended up adding some more layers of ink over the top to make them stand out a little less. I didn't care for the way the image fit on an 4 x 5.25 panel, so I cut some of the leaves off and glued them in a different configuration. I mounted that panel on a black panel that is 1/8 inch larger in both directions. I then added that to an A2 card base.
