Mix Tape Birthday 80s/90s
I was going for a retro 80's or 90's look for this card for a friend's birthday. The Mix Tape Rewind stamps and dies are fun to use. I used the Sparkle Wave dies by Kristina Werner to add more of a retro wave. You do need to make sure you know which number of wave you used for the colors so they fit together easily and are in the order you want them. Otherwise, you may struggle a bit. I also used some of the musical notes from the Mix Tape Rewind die set that I cut in all of the cardstock colors and some of the fun retro shapes from the Sparkle Wave die set. I added stickles to those for some sparkle. I popped the cassette tape up on foam squares and then glued the heart tape underneath to make sure everything was centered appropriately (this gave the best result...let's just say I had done two other backgrounds with waves where I glued the heart tape first and it made the cassette tape off-center in order to line it up correctly. I was a slow learner that day.)
