First, I shaded the paper with all three Cranberry inks. Then, I stamped the word stamp using the gradient technique. Finally, I stamped the Grip Mat 2, also using the gradient technique. Gradient technique (for 3 colors): Stamp a little more than 1/3 of the stamp with the first color. Lightly tap the edge where it will touch the second color with a brush (or finger) to soften it. Then stamp a little more than 1/3 of the middle with the middle color and soften both edges again. Finally, stamp a third color at the bottom and soften the edge with a brush.
