Kelly Lunceford shared a card like this, and I just had to copy it with my own supplies for my two granddaughters who graduate from high school this year. This was a labor of love and really stretched me. One success was hot foiling on the Tonic Studios Black Velvet Mirror Cardstock. It foiled perfectly. It is silky smooth, but not shiny - kinda like a satin finish. But the cardstock is expensive. I only use it for special occasions. Another success was using champagne or platinum gold glitter cardstock, metallic paper, embossing powder, and hot foil. I think it looks less harsh than gold.
Techniques: Hot foiling, paper piecing, heat embossing

Terry, this card came out fabulous!!!!! absolutely gorgeous!!! Your granddaughter will love them and Im sure cherish them since you made them. two lucky girls
