I created this elegant, ocean-inspired greeting card to capture the serene beauty of the coast. It has a soft, sophisticated neutral palette with a textured background to celebrate unique individuality. I chose to create a mix of subtle tone-on-tone ink blending and die cut layering. By pairing a muted, backgroundl with rich navy and soft slate blue accents, I have a perfect balance between coastal calm and clean, modern design.
Techniques: Tone-on-Tone Ink Blending: One ink can be layered abnd blened to create depth and shadow. Texture Layering: Combine smooth cardstock, spattered ink, fine metallic thread, and flat sequins to create a tactile, multi-dimensional project. Focal Sentiment Popping: Die-cutting and foam-mounting the sentiment to break up the repeating background pattern and draw the eye instantly.
