For this festive Christmas card, I started by creating a soft winter sky with light blue ink blending, leaving a clean white area for the sentiment. Once the background was complete, I stamped the greeting and added tiny stars and falling snow with a white Gelly Roll pen to give the scene a little extra holiday sparkle. Woody and Hazel Jean were stamped, colored with alcohol markers, and carefully fussy cut by hand. To create the illusion that they were hanging inside Christmas ornaments, I stamped the images a second time directly onto the ink blended background so I could use the ornament hooks from the stamp set. The colored images were then layered over the top, creating a seamless dimensional effect. The result is a clean and cheerful Christmas card that captures the magic of the holiday season—even in the middle of July!
