Cat Window
I started by die cutting the window from a white card panel, along with two additional layers. I stacked the window pieces together to give the frame a little extra dimension and set them aside. Using the Small Brick Wall Stencil, I applied texture paste to the card panel with a palette knife. I intentionally kept the application a little uneven and imperfect to give the background a more natural, textured brick look. Once the texture paste was completely dry, I backed the window opening with a piece of vellum to create a soft, light-filled look before adding the stacked window frame back into place. For a little color, I die cut the greenery and tiny flowers, adding some light ink blending for extra dimension before arranging them along the bottom of the window. To finish the card, I used my Cricut to cut a small black cat silhouette and tucked it behind the window. I love how such a simple little detail turned this into the perfect birthday card for a cat lover!
